(I usually just make a layer and paint either white or a very pale pink/yellow blob or two on them, then apply a little gaussian blur to the layer to fuzz them. Then I play with fill and opacity. Effective blobbing is really putting the blobs where the light sources are, but ‘tis not the Tumblr way.)

(i just thought it was odd that you say if i was a shipper in those tags even though you could say all those things without it being shippy at all) (~mari for secret fuffy shipper ‘12)
It was going to be much shippier about how Faith interacts with the Scoobies here like the sister-in-law no one really knows well but then I got distracted by why they’d be in the Bronze anyway for only a couple of seconds and then the tags changed but it takes so long to edit when you’re that far in so I went with it. :D

Oh, no. That just reeks of rape culture to me. Irresponsible for drinking. And in her own home? What’s irresponsible and completely unjust is someone potentially taking advantage of her in that state. I really had more faith in Joss than that. /sigh
Yep. I’m mostly upset that we as fans aren’t being reassured that this is a non-issue, so everything Joss is saying sounds like victim-blaming. :(

why can’t she be a hero anyway? I don’t understand why there would be any sort of disconnect between her being the strong hero that she has always been and being raped. she can still be a hero even if she’s been a victim. overcoming that IS heroic.
Very true! Though I don’t think anyone’s doubting her heroism, just upset about possible victim-blaming. I see Buffy as a hero no matter how this plays out- and I’m somewhat impressed by her decisions this past issue (though I’m struggling with elements of the characterization- don’t click that till you finish reading!) in particular.
