UGH YES THIS WHOLE SCENE THOUGH it’s actually a microcosm of Spuffy S7 in a single moment- their eyes and Spike’s faith and Buffy’s face and the way she supports him but they still manage to walk and they move together toward the light asdlkfjskldjf it does things to me I can’t even~
I'm obviously a Spuffy shipper, but I do believe that Buffy did mean what she said to her friends in Selfless about loving Angel more than she will ever love anything or that she at least felt it in the moment that she said it. However, I believe that Buffy loved Angel and Spike in different ways (Also, let me unabashedly add that Selfless occurred before the Spuffy shipping climax of season 7 started).This is a very good post!
Easy love and difficult love (and here I’m only talking about the emotional aspect, no other factors) are both very different and incredibly strong in their own ways. One isn’t weaker because it’s simple, and the other isn’t weaker because it’s harder to obtain.
They just are, and neither devalues the other, either.

Sometimes I feel like there's no point to forming my own meta on the Buffyverse, because you do such a good job explaining suppressed thoughts/opinions others and I within this fandom have. NOTHING YOU SAY CAN BE REFUTED BY ME BECAUSE IT ALL MAKES SENSE AND I LOVE YOUR BLOG AND PROBABLY LIKE EVERYTHING YOU POST. Kthat'sallfornowbye.Okay so this is funny because a few days ago I left you a message that must not have gone through about how I was reading your underrated Spuffy moments and flailing at the tags because EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS PERFECT AND GORGEOUS AND SO MUCH LOVE.
