So once upon a time, back before humans went around on their own screwing up the world and stuff, Illyria and Glory wreaked havoc separately on various dimensions until they encountered each other in our very own one. Their armies of faithful servants fought and the two gods fought as well until Illyria claimed victory and named herself god-king and ruler of the dimension below her feet. Glory, she permitted to stay out of simple curiosity concerning the tempestuous goddess.
They engaged in sexual relations (there were tentacles involved) and Illyria took to calling Glory her consort and regarding her with great interest when she spoke furiously of her supremacy. And when Glory finally left this dimension to be worshipped elsewhere, Illyria thought of her.
Once…perhaps twice.
