What a fantastic friendship!

Tumblr made me love them. I mean, I wasn’t that focused on their relationship when I actually watched AtS (except maybe during S1), but then I came onto Tumblr and started seeing gifs of isolated moments and #taaaaags and every little detail just…came together for me and now I think it’s my second-to-top het Angel ship. (Which is high because I ship Angel with a ridiculous amount of people!) 

Because they need each other, not to complete themselves but to support, and that’s a level of mature relationship that we don’t see that often in the ‘verse- or any ‘verse, really- but it’s something that’s very real. They’re friends in the deepest, most intimate of ways, to the point that they can slip into their roles as lovers and nothing would change between them because they don’t compromise each other. It’s healthy and it’s simple- two words that are taboo in the Jossverse- so naturally it was doomed to fail. :D
