Yep, and like I said here, I do think that there’s something very pure about that level of love.

On the other hand, that doesn’t mean endgame. Clearly it doesn’t in the Chosen commentary where Joss says that in the first place, because Buffy sends Angel away. And that’s a significant move on her part that I think a lot of people choose to ignore, because it says, “Yes, I love you. No, you can’t be in my life for this.” It’s Buffy taking a step back, evaluating her gut instinct, and making a decision that she wouldn’t have otherwise. It’s a sign of a matured Buffy, one with whom a relationship with Angel isn’t inevitable anymore because of steps she’s taken, and while there’s always going to be that love, the reliance is gone.

Teal dear- Joss is contradicting himself. :/
