Yes! Spike likes taking care of people (and has so since William), and particularly someone as helpless as a child. And that’s an integral aspect of who he is. *nods* (sidebar heads-up: I’ve been meaning to talk to you about comics things because I’ve been reading some of what you’ve been saying in the BS9 tag and I want to taaalk but I got sidetracked by fandom today…so anyway. Expect me. ;)
I’m good with either, though I think there’s a certain poetry to a female slayer birthing another female (slayer?). But if it’s a boy, I would like him very much to look just like Buffy- but, y’know, male. :D
I WUB YOU TOO (and this is really only being published bc I wanted to answer the rest of these and wanted to keep this but I don’t have the battery power to start up Photoshop to edit this image to remove your ask SO ANYWAY WUB YOU THE MOSTEST <333)
I don’t think Joss has ever said that- in fact, it’d be incredibly awful PR to do that when Buffy/ endgame is so polarizing- and it’s just something people assume? Can there be such a thing as fandom privilege? Not necessarily as a bad thing- I think that default ship tends to be BA because it came first and is most media-friendly, so people don’t question that it’s the best/the most shipped/endgame etc, while other ships don’t come to the same automatic assumption because they don’t take it quite as for granted that they’re the ultimate BtVS ship?
